We are so glad to finally announce the arrival of our first baby alpaca to be born at the farm. He arrived Wednesday May 8th,2013 around 5:00 p.m., a beautiful and spirited new baby bay weighing about 15 pounds. Castle Creek Farm's Allexandro Wolfgang's Majestic Star, and to think it only took Cassia (the Mom) 1 year and 1 day after she was bred. Another blessing for my Mother's day, Happy Mother's day!!
Spring Thyme brings many exciting and wonderful things and this year we are expecting a new addition to the farm a cria (baby alpaca due around April 16, but only God really knows when the exact date is). We are looking forward to a new little baby coming, this will be our first alpaca born here and so we are very excited.
We are also still clearing out beds for more herb beds lots of plans we didn't get finished up last year so hopefully we can make more progress with things this year.
We have local free-range (no wax coated) eggs available also. Check back to see what other ideas we will be adding for the coming season.
Although this picture is from a bluebird that visited our farm a couple of years ago, we continue to have many bluebirds return every year to nest in our bluebird boxes. We even have a little one that comes and pecks on our window, it has done this for several years and we think it's the same one back again this year. A great reminder that spring is here. We are adding more bluebird houses to the farm this year to attract even more bluebirds, our new houses are very colorful and we hope the bluebirds will like their new homes. We also have these wonderful bluebird boxes for sale in our shoppe and they are available in many colors. They are locally made by a young Amish man that we met at one of the many shows we participate at throughout the year. They are made of poly lumber so they are weather resistant and will add a touch of color to your garden all year round. A great investment!! We will be adding pictures soon so you can see some of the colors available.
Gift Certificates are always available in any value just call for more information.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his's name's sake....... Psalm 23: 1-3
